Hello, and thank you for visiting.  We  are located in the Western New York countryside, in the hills south of Buffalo.  As a mother/daughter team, we have been involved with many kinds of animals through the years, big and small, but none of them have been as rewarding as our Aussies.

We obtained our first Australian Shepherd, Luna, in 1996.  Sarah was involved in the 4-H obedience program with our Shih Tzu, Tif, at the time and wanted a second dog to work with. Sarah and Luna quickly graduated from 4-H obedience to AKC obedience,  then went on to the conformation ring.  We bred our first litter in 1999. Thus the birth of RisingStar Aussies.  

We are members of USASA, ASCA, and HONYASC (our local ASCA club).  Our Aussies are AKC and ASCA registered. The health and welfare of our dogs is of utmost importance to us.  All dogs used in our breeding program have been certified clear of hip dysplasia (OFA'd) and eyes are certified clear of eye defects. We breed, on a very limited basis, for health, temperament, correct structure, soundness in movement, and breed type.  

We love showing our dogs,  but besides conformation, our Aussies are also competing in obedience, agility, and also make excellent companions.   They are brains, beauty, and athlete all rolled up into one.
